Dexters is our first-ever community hub in the heart of Brixton. It serves as the base for our Youth Club sessions, Adventure Play, and much more!
Since taking over the site on Railton Road in 2021, we have worked hard to make the playground operational again, refurbishing equipment and creating plans for more improvements. We have huge ambitions for the site and want to create a vibrant hub in the centre of Brixton.
Please visit the What's On page to learn more about our current activities.
Our youth club sessions bring young people aged 11-18 together at Dexters. Youth club runs 3 times/week during term time, and five times/week in school holidays.
At youth club sessions, young people are encouraged to explore and develop their interests, talents and potential.
Our sessions are varied, offering activities including; workshops on mental health, careers; clubs for homework, Anime, cookery, dance, music (recording, performance) and visual arts (photography, film, art). During holidays we offer trips and excursions such as white water rafting, paddle boarding, sailing and theme parks.
All young people aged 11-18 are welcome to attend, no sign up required!
Our supervised Adventure Play sessions take place every Saturday 11am - 2pm, with an extra two midweek sessions during the school holidays.
Young people of all ages can come down and enjoy our play equipment, play sport, or try their hand at some gardening! While on-site, parents and carers can pick up a hot drink from our friendly staff.
Children under 8 require supervision from parents or carers.
